About Specialist Autoparts

Specialist Autoparts began trading in October 1983. The idea behind its creation stemmed from Barry's love of American cars - a passion he has followed since 1970, particularly the drag racing scene - and also the fact that there were no American car specialists in the West Country region. Specialist Autoparts, although originally based in the grounds of an old abbey, is now based in an ultra-modern spacious unit on Houndstone Business Park, Yeovil, Somerset.

As well as being able to service American vehicles, Barry can also supply a wide range of genuine parts for all makes of American cars, in fact just about anything you could ask him for! He is one of the original members of the AMPAR network and is even able to deliver parts to his customers' doors, mostly on a next day delivery basis.

With the years of experience and time he has invested in American car technology, Barry knows his vehicles inside and out and therefore can supply his customers with the exact part they require. Because of this he has acquired a wide customer base across the country. His work environment is always kept in meticulously good order - a habit engrained in him from his earlier days in the aircraft industry.

Due to the technological advances of recent years, Barry has spent time and money familiarising himself with computer diagnostic equipment and has now become so proficient that he finds himself helping out a local Chrysler dealership on occasions.
